Our Featured Classes

Reformer Pilates

We have 14 beds and an extensive timetable of Reformer Pilates classes, held in our beautiful Reformer Pilates studio.

Reformer Pilates is performed using a bed-like frame, with a ‘carriage’ that rolls back and forth on wheels using springs to generate resistance.  You push and pull using your body weight & strength.

Reformer Pilates is generally more intense and more dynamic than mat based Pilates.  It is designed to increase flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance with an improved mind-body connection. Visually, you will see stronger and leaner muscles with improved posture. With the focus on core stability and total body strength, Reformer Pilates will help to facilitate muscle activation and development to support proper spinal alignment.

Socks must be worn in a Reformer class. We recommend GRIP socks for safety which are available for sale at reception.

A non-impact class using barbells, light weights and repetition.  A great all over toning workout for all ages and fitness levels.  Choreographed to music using functional traditional strength training.

Either a 45 min or Express 30 min workout.

A training technique where you exercise above 80% of your Maximum Heart Rate, through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more calories.

Pilates will focus on postural alignment and activating the core muscles. Pilates will strengthen, tone and connect the body through breath and movement. Props are sometimes used such as a Magic Circle or a soft ball. This class should be included in your weekly workout as it will assist you in all other forms of exercise that you do.  Movements are adapted to suit all levels.

Pilates / Yoga Fusion

A balance of yoga & Pilates. Builds strength, stability & flexibility whilst focusing on the core & relaxation. Pilates & yoga are both transformational methods that focus on mind, body & spirit.

Vinyasa Flow combines the breath and movement with a clear explanation of the benefits of poses, a focus on alignment, balance and breathing with verbal adjustments and guidance in meditation and relaxation techniques.

Yin yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice. It works on the deep, dense (yin) connective tissues and joints in the body.

Vinyasa Slow Flow  is slow and steady in its intensity.  Flow through intelligent, creative sequencing that inspire playful curiosity while maintaining an awareness of the breath and a focus on alignment.

Restorative Yin yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing. 1st Saturday of the month 75 mins
